Performing Arts Focus

New York City

Of course, New York City tops the list! The bright lights of Broadway are an amazing sight to behold! We can set up a Broadway show rehearsal workshop for your group with a professional choreographer. How about a Broadway show make-up workshop with a professional make-up artist? Tour Radio City Music Hall, NBC Studios, Madison Square Garden, Apollo Theater, see the locations from the show "Gossip Girl", or meet "celebrities" at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. And you can't visit New York City without seeing a Broadway show! In Late November and during the month of December your Choir can take the stage at Radio City Music Hall before the Christmas Spectacular show!

Let's not forget your group will need to eat, in Times Square you can dine at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Hard Rock Cafe or see some Broadway hopefuls at Ellen's Stardust Diner, home of the singing waitstaff!

Los Angeles

There is no place like Hollywood. Tour the Warner Bros. Studio, take the TMZ tour, see the handprints at Grauman's Chinese Theatre, or even see a stunt demonstration by a professional stunt performer! Visit the Santa Monica Pier or go to Universal Studios. You could spend a day or two at Disneyland and participate in a workshop: Acting 101, Costuming, Dance Audition, Dance 101, Improv, Musical Theatre, Music 101, Music 201, Show Choir, Soundtrack Session: Instrumental, Soundtrack Session: Jazz, or Soundtrack Session: Vocal.

Orlando

Disneyworld has many workshops specifically for groups focused on the performing arts such as Acting 101, Dance Technique, Disney Broadway Magic, Professional Insights: Careers in Entertainment, Technically Speaking: A Look at Disney Entertainment Technology, Disney Auxiliration (Flag Unit), Disney Dancin', Disney Fundamentals: Beginner Band and Orchestra, Disney Sings, Jazz It Up, You're Instrumental.

Music Festivals

Take your middle school band, choir, or orchestra to compete at an amusement park. Make it a weekend trip, perform in the morning, enjoy the park during the day, awards in the evening, then stay overnight at a fun hotel such as Great Wolf Lodge and return the next day.

Atlanta

Atlanta has become the second Hollywood. Here groups can take an acting class, have a stunt demonstration from a professional stuntman, visit the CNN Studio Tour, or even tour an actual movie studio. For fun visit the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, see the city from SkyView Atlanta or spend a day at Six Flags Over Georgia.
