Q. What information do I need to provide to receive a quote or book a trip?
A. It is best to have two or three potential travel dates, the destination you prefer, the anticipated number of participants (students, teacher, parent chaperones), if any of them need special accommodations and your preferred budget.
Q. I can book everything myself. Why use Educational Expeditions?
A. Teachers and School Administrators have so much to do already and we are experts at planning travel. We already have contacts with hotels, venues, restaurants, airlines, and motorcoach carriers. We will calculate the cost per person and give you due dates for deposits and send reminders. Because of our expertise, we have encountered a number of situations and are prepared with contingency plans.
Q. How far in advance should I book a field trip?
A. This depends on several factors. Many groups that prefer to travel on Fridays or Saturdays in the Spring will book a year in advance. If you wish to see a show (such as a Broadway musical) it's best to book 6 - 8 months in advance. Many other trips are booked 4 - 6 months in advance.
Q. I found a cheaper bus for my trip, can we use it instead?
A. It's best to remember, you get what you pay for. The motorcoach carriers we use have been vetted and have proven reliable. When cost is an issue for a school we try to stay within budget, however, we are transporting precious cargo and do not take this responsibility lightly.
Q. I want to plan a trip to a destination not listed on your website. Can this be done?
A. We have many travel partners and can plan a trip anywhere domestically.
